Quick answers

Are these the official rates?

They follow public help and pricing pages as of August 21, 2026. If a platform’s dashboard shows a custom rate, use that instead. Estimates only.

Why is Etsy’s $0.20 listing fee on a sale?

Etsy charges $0.20 when you list (and on renewals), not at checkout. For a single-sale example we include it as a cost of that sale. You can turn it off.

Is Gumroad really 10%?

The pricing page shows 10% + $0.50 on direct sales. Gumroad’s fee help article says credit card processing (2.9% + $0.30) is extra. This calculator uses that all-in direct-card model. Discover is a separate 30% that includes processing.
